Fat Removal Injection

Fat-away injection-an extract from the soya bean puts the fat cells zuleibe

With the active ingredient phosphatidylcholine from soy beans, unwanted fat deposits are dissolved by injection of this drug. The mobilized fat is excreted by the liver and intestine.

The drug was originally used for intravenous treatment of fat embolism. The injection of this drug directly into the fatty tissue called lipolysis and has been used successfully for 10 years. Treatment consists of three to five treatments and costs from 250 €.

This method of fat reduction is one of the many innovative treatments in the newly opened Elisées center for aesthetic surgical dermatology, laser therapy and traditional Chinese medicine in Bonn-Bad Godesberg. On 4 June, Dr. Brenner, the dermatologist Elisées the center, while including a presentation on this subject in the first La Redoute Patients’ Forum met.

Injection lipolysis with phosphatidylcholine
The injection lipolysis with phosphatidylcholine has been used for more than ten years and currently not only specialists but also in the lay press discussed intensively. Initially developed for the reduction of infra-orbital fat accumulation, this method is available today as an alternative to liposuction in discussion and is now used worldwide.

Phosphatidylcholine extracted from soybeans and is, among other things, in the bile, naturally occurring substance that has been used successfully for many years given to the dissolution of fat embolism intravenously or in tablet form is prescribed for the treatment of lipid disorders. The injection lipolysis with phosphatidylcholine was first applied in 1995 by P. ride to reduce infra-orbital fat accumulation. It was the first trial of subcutaneous administration of the substance.

It has been documented to date no cases of severe side effects by subcutaneous injection of phosphatidylcholine or even anecdotal reports. With us, no serious or long lasting side effects were observed. There is now even evidence for a health-mass effect of phosphatidylcholine: In several works, the successful reduction in both cholesterol and triglyceride levels are shown by the substance. There are even hints towards a reduction of atherosclerotic plaques by phosphatidylcholine.

Treatment
It can be treated fat deposits on the hips, waist, outer, inner and front legs, knees, arms, upper and lower abdomen, lower eyelid, cheek and back in between 21 and 40 days with subcutaneous injections. Immediately after the injection, is a localized inflammatory response, which is indicated by a redness and burning pain. Slight aching pain is a common phenomenon accompanying. The number of treatments depends on the success and the wishes of patients and is between three and five treatments.

Fat-away injection or liposuction?
If one compares the lipolysis with liposuction, the differences lie in the field of cosmetic results achieved and speed of action. The use of injection lipolysis in difficult to treat areas of the body – such as the hips – is not recommended because the cosmetic result can be controlled adequately.
Injection lipolysis is therefore classified rather as a complementary technique for liposuction.

Consultation is important
Patient education for Injection should be made in great detail. Although many thousands of treatments have been made and the risk profile is well known, even in direct injection into the fatty tissue, the aesthetic result can not be predicted. In a detailed consultation should always be received on possible side effects, risks and complications and together with the patient for him suitable therapeutic approach and a cost plan can be designed. This form of therapy is in the hands of an experienced specially trained physician.
